Paint Samples Harvest paint samples and perform microscopic analysis to determine the original interior pigments of the ornamental plaster. Documentation Compile written documentation with Munsell/Restoration Associates Limited Custom Color Notation chips. Duplicate Finishes Duplicate all decorative finishes found on historic ornamental plaster. These decorative finishes consisted of applying 3 different glazes over a base pigment and highlighting ornamental plaster with gold mica powders. Conservation Perform conservation cleaning, conservation treatments and apply a conservators' consolidant to the Ark in th Sanctuary. The conservation treatments consisted of reattaching paint flakes by injections and reintegrating with the appropriate pigments where losses exist.
